The brief checks every quoted claim against its source before an issue ships, and this page exists for the errors that get through anyway. Each one is corrected on its page and logged here: the date, what was wrong, and what it says now.

What we published: The headline read "Canada's Last Belugas Freed." None of the whales went free. Marineland shipped its last belugas to aquariums in the United States and Spain, and a second one, Rain, died at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium days after she arrived.
What it says now: The headline reads "Second Marineland Beluga Dies After Export; Lab Meat Grows Vessels."
What counts as a correction
Anything that changes what a careful reader would believe: a wrong fact, number, name, or date, a quote that was not what the source said, or a claim pinned on the wrong person or company.
What does not
Typos, formatting, and wording changes that leave the meaning intact get fixed without ceremony. And new evidence is not an error: when a study lands that changes the picture, the page it touches gets a dated update, the way the reference shelves already carry them. A correction is for what we got wrong at the time, with what we had.
How a correction happens
We verify the error against the original source, correct the page where it ran, and log it here with the date, what was wrong, and what it says now. The wrong version does not vanish; the log keeps it.
